Car Rental FAQ's
Our Sunshine Coast (Airport) office is staffed, according to demand, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday. Sundays and Public holidays we are open 9-30 am to 1-30 pm. We are CLOSED on CHRISTMAS DAY.
WE have excellent systems available for Pick Ups and Drop Offs both before and After Hours, including supply of vehicles on Christmas Day, when we are closed. Please contact our Office for details and bookings.
Yes. The earlier you book, the cheaper prices tend to be.
At Aussie Bargain we allow one (1) additional driver per hire contact for FREE.
A second additional driver will attract a $5 fee per day to a capped total of $50 per rental contract.
Aussie Bargain offer a number of options for reducing your liability in the unfortunate event of your having an accident with your hire car, or some other road user hitting or damaging the rental car you hired.
Reducing Liability
Car rental is very much a demand driven industry. Peak periods when the tourism related businesses are in the most demand and supply is shortest, prices will naturally be higher as supply is more limited then. If you wish to book a car during school holidays, Easter, Christmas, or when the weather is generally the best and most people prefer to travel, then rental cars may not be discounted at all, as well as being more difficult to obtain. These are the times when it is most advantageous to book early to ensure you can secure the category of vehicle you want and at the best price.
We rent cars out to customers who meet our rental requirements and are aged 25 to 80 years of age.
We can also rent to 21 to 24 year olds subject to additional surcharges applying.
Drivers 80 to 85 years of age with good health and a medical certificate from their doctor may also be able to hire and drive our cars, subject to conditions applied by our insurance company. Some restrictions and conditions apply.
